Tonuya McGlothlin is the Assessment Coordinator of the Institutional Effectiveness and Assessment Program at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy, as well as the Administrative Assistant to the Dean. Mrs. McGlothlin is a Buchanan County native and a 1981 graduate of Garden High School. She received her A.S. degree in Nursing from Southwest Virginia Community College in Richlands, Virginia in 1984, and is a licensed RN. She earned her B.S. degree in Organizational Management from Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, Virginia in 1998. Tonuya began her career in assessment in 1985. She held dual positions at Buchanan General Hospital both acting as the Quality Improvement and Assessment Coordinator and a Quality Improvement Coach. She worked in assessment at BGH for approximately 15 years. She was hired in 2006 to work in an Administrative Assistant position in higher education for ACP and transitioned into a dual position to include the role of the College’s Assessment Coordinator in 2012.
Mrs. McGlothlin resides at Mavisdale, Virginia with her husband, Jerry and son, William. She also has three adult daughters Tasha, Elizabeth, and Amber. She enjoys participating in church activities, spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, gardening and reading.
