OAKWOOD, VA (May 25, 2021) – Students interested in learning more about the profession of pharmacy have been invited to attend the Appalachian College of Pharmacy’s annual summer camp. This year, the camp will be held on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to those attending.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Those attending will learn more about the profession of pharmacy through hands-on activities supervised by expert faculty members at ACP.
Among the activities offered will be conducting patient assessment procedures; discovering pharmacy compounding techniques; practicing pharmacotherapy on a human simulator; hearing from students about their experience at ACP; an admissions workshop session; and a tour of the Appalachian College of Pharmacy campus.

The Appalachian College of Pharmacy is the only three-year Doctor of Pharmacy program in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Founded in 2003, the college accepted its first students in 2005.
