Dr. Kristen Nicar serves as the Pharmacy Practice Department Chair and Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Appalachian College of Pharmacy. She attended University of Virginia and Medical College of Virginia where she earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1997. She obtained an MBA from King College in 2010. She is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS).
Dr. Nicar has 21 years of pharmacy experience. The majority of her career was spent in home infusion with Advanced Home Care where she served as Pharmacy Manager.
Dr. Nicar’s practice site with the Appalachian College of Pharmacy is located at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, TN where she is an acute care clinical pharmacist.
She and her family enjoy relaxing at South Holston Lake and Folly Beach. She is an avid college basketball fan (Go UVa!) and an enthusiastic cheerleader for her daughter Ella’s horseback competitions.
